One of the most popular sporting events in the United States, NASCAR is the premiere stock car racing association in that country. Although there are many other racing federations, and many different kinds of racing, NASCAR trivia will show that this particular form of stock car racing has stood the test of time. The only sport that is watched more on TV in the United States than NASCAR is the NFL, which is a true testament to the popularity of stock car racing.

When listing the NASCAR greats, Richard Petty is undoubtedly the first name that comes to mind, as one of the most endearing and enduring NASCAR champions. Other names include Cale Yarborough, Dale Earnhardt, and more recently Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Of those drivers, Petty and Earnhardt share the record for the most seasons won, at seven each. Jeff Gordon ranks second on the list of all time wins with 4. Jimmie Johnson and Cale Yarborough each have three, along with several other drivers, but they are the only two to have three wins in consecutive seasons.
