1999 tony stewart diecast HELP?
I have a 1999 tony stewart 1/24 rookie car with P/N #P249903308. This car was given to emplyees only and was limited. The rookie stripes are not on the car. Black windows. Anyone know how much this may be worth. cant find it in the price guide. its made by ACTION
I was told from a Authentic Motorsports dealer that its well worth 450 or more. Just can not find it in a price guide to believe it.
Any diecast's worth is related to how much someone is willing to offer and how much you are willing to accept.
I have some that I consider priceless, yet probably couldn't get $5 for. I have others that are worth hundreds, but I would never sell.
I sold a portion of a collection on consignment at Lowe's Motor Speedway a couple of years ago. I had all of the items priced at 1/4 book value. Out of a thousand people, 999 thought I was a rip-off and the 1 thought I was a chump.
One sale involved a 1/64 scale of a special Mark Martin ride. A promotional that the customer inquired about directly. I had it in stock. I sold it to him for $15. As he walked away with his prize, I told him he just made a great buy as the car was easily worth 3 times that. His response was, "I know how much it is worth."
I had the entire 4 car set of 1/64 scale cars that included the first ever diecast of an Earnhardt car. The set was valued at better than $1,200 with the Earnhardt car alone worth $800.
Sold the whole set for less than $200.
Hey, it wasn't mine, I was just operating under orders to liquidate. I wish I had added that set to my collection.
