Can items shrink after like a couple years or so if there not getting any air or moisture?
I have this air tight/almost air tight display case. I have these 1/64 diecast Monster Jams in 4 rows on 2 shelves. When I first put them in there it was really really tight. The front row of trucks I turned 90 degrees so they'd fit. The one side half the tires were hanging off. If I'd push in more sometimes to try and push them back sometimes they'd fall off from how close/tight it was. So I didn't touch them for a while. Recently I pushed on them and they moved like a half an inch. If stuff really do shrink how air tight does it have to be?
The wood in the case probably expanded with the heat and humidity. check it this winter and it will be shrunk again
