getting laps on nascar?
i just recently got into nascar. i understand the sport for the most part but trying to figure out a couple things and basics... 1) say you are in 30th place and you are just a couple feet ahead of the 1st place guy and a caution flag goes up, im thinking that is a huge advantage bc u get alot closer to the lead guy, right?
2) what is the rules for the pit and what are the drivers goals other than obviously getting out as fast as u can? can you gain spots in the pit??
3) anything else i should know and watch for when watching the races?

2. Get out as fast as you can. That simple.
Rules? There is a speed limit on pit lane. You can't run over anything in your pit. You can't leave the pit with any tool or piece of equipment still attached to your car. Violation of any of these rules will get you a penalty. Usually a stop and go penalty. Meaning you have to return to the pits. And this usually causes you to lose a lap.
