This is the epilogue to the Blackest Night which is appropriately titled: Goodbye Darkness. A Green Lantern funeral that only a lantern can give. Great issue and depth to the Green Lantern mythology. Kilwog has a great scene. The series will be taken over by Tony Bedard while Peter Tomasi tends to Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors in August with Guy Gardner taking the lead.

This is the penultimate chapter of the Last Stand of New Krypton. The battle ranges on within Brainiac's ship as the Legion of Superheroes fight for the future. Mon-El accepts his density, Zod and Superman team-up, and Lex Luthor offers his endgame. Alright chapter however seems like a filler to Last Stand of New Krypton #3.

After revealing that the new Black Mask is none other than Jeremiah Arkham this issue is from his point of view. The opening scene and dialogue alone is worth the price for this book. Really underestimated David Hine writing Detective Comics. Looking forward towards the next issue.
SUPERMAN: LAST STAND OF NEW KRYPTON #3

We are still in the middle of the storyline so this last issue is a lead-in. Luthor endgame comes into play however he himself faces his end at the hands of Brainiac. However with future solicitations containing his presence ruins any surprises and therefore we are revealed with a Robotic Luthor. Zod battles Brainiac without any superpowers and wins. The involvement of Luthor leads Zod a war on Earth: WAR OF THE SUPERMEN #0 available on May 1st.

Kicking off Free Comic Book Day 2010 is WAR OF THE SUPERMEN #0 – a 100 minute war between New Krypton and Earth. Superman is on New Krypton trying to stop Zod from attacking Earth. Zod shows his hand as he proves to Superman that he has won the respect of his people and their loyalty. It ends with thousands of supermen converge on Earth. Short story to kick off the crossover – looking forward to see how this plays out.
JUSTICE LEAGUE THE RISE OF ARSENAL #2

Continuing the fall out of Cry for Justice, Roy faces his demons as a drug addict from his Speedy days. We are offered a chance to feel what Roy is feeling and he vents out at various heroes. The cover is very misleading because the confrontation doesn't take place in this issue. Supposed to be an emotional issue however it has fallen flat.
THE FLASH: REBIRTH HARDCOVER

Not at all Geoff Johns best work but brought insight into the Barry Allen Flash universe. It was a bit confusing at times which will most likely be explained in 2011's Flash event – FLASHPOINT. Saw the reintroduction of several Flashes and speedsters: Professor Zoom, Johnny Quick, Max Mercury, Savitar, and the Black Flash however greatly underused. Wally West is not forgotten as Barry Allen returns as he gets a cool new costume. Like Green Lantern: Rebirth which set the foundation for the Sinestro Corp Wars and Blackest Night – Flash: Rebirth may set the foundation for future Flash stories such as next year's FLASHPOINT and beyond. Collecting The Flash Rebirth #1-5.
