Happiness by Wish Granting
It is located in the second sentence of the U.S. Declaration of Independence: we are given the right to pursue happiness. However, many individuals do not know what to do to accomplish this. Some people think that they are entitled to absolute happiness and it should be given to them. But no one can force you to be happy.
Many people think that getting bigger and better stuff will give them purpose or fill that void in their life, be it a newer car, a bigger house, or hotter fashion brands. However, this isn't the case. Even those who are rich are not always happy. Money doesn't buy happiness. Of course Donald Trump is said to have made the statement that "the people who say money can’t buy happiness don’t know where to shop." But in reality it's probably the process of making money that Mr. Trump thinks is so wonderful.
After reaching the point where you can provide all the basic things necessary for survival, more money doesn't really bring additional satisfaction. Real contentment can be achieved by being generous and kind to others. One of the greatest benefits is that it allows you to forget your own problems and re-directs your attention on someone else. Each person has something they can donate, even those with very little.
It doesn't cost anything to give a friendly smile or some verbal support, but to the recipient it could mean everything.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a good organization to consider if you are struggling with the decision of which charitable group you want to support. This wonderful organization is dedicated to making wishes happen for kids with terminal medical conditions. The most wonderful job is one where you get to bring many smiles and some hope to a child in need of both.
Examples of child wishes range from meeting a celebrity to making a special trip to Disneyland. Wishes could also be for physical items such as computers, game consoles, or a theme decorated bedroom. The one boundary is that which a child can dream and hope for.
There are many options available for you if you want to assist this group. Those with financial freedom can donate money so that their wishes can become reality. People who are low on cash can donate their time and attention by volunteering to enhance the life of an eligible kid. The Make-A-Wish Foundation benefits when it receives the proceeds from sales of donated cars.
Unused airline miles can be given to children so that they may travel across the world through a partnership of the Foundation and several airlines. If that's something you'd like to contribute to, you can hold a bake sale, a garage sale, or a car wash and donate the funds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The ways you can contribute are almost infinite. Anyone, regardless of their personal circumstances, can find a way to reach out and help others. Depressed people can take the first step out of their depression by helping out someone else and begin to take their life in a positive new direction. If you do not contribute to this organization, please find something greater in your life to support.
What you receive in return is far greater and more powerful than money. I promise that you will find happiness if you choose this way!
