The Dockers Super Bowl commercial unquestionably grabbed America's attention.
How could one not gaze at a group of men wearing nothing but their underwear, striding across a windy plain and singing "I Wear No Pants"?
Despite the men going bare from the waist down (except for undies of course), the ad promoted Dockers free pants, including a giveaway for free khakis. Was this marketing insanity or marketing genius? I would say it was a stroke of genius.
"Dockers free pants" was one of the most-searched keyword phrases on the Internet the day after the Super Bowl. Surprising? Actually not really, taking into account the mess the economy finds itself in and the fact that there is nothing more that people want than freebies.
