Found a "6 Div" pin, Kangaroo on a boomerang. How do I know if its authentic?
Are there replicas out there? 6th Division was formed in 1939.. the pin doesn't look that old.. I can't identify the metal but it looks as if two different metals have been infused one on top of another, maybe bronze on some silver metal with a long pin. Looks like a hat pin.
i would imagine its genuine as using different metals was the norm years ago,i can think of no reason of why someone would go to all that trouble to replicate this item,you could check it out with the local museum or find out who "6 div" ended up being amalgamated with but I'm sure you would find out that its genuine
