Generally, newbs at an earlier age select lighter weights while older advanced scholars and instructors select heavier ones. Weights can alter from seven oz. or 198.44 grams to 40.57 oz or 1150 grams. While coaching judo uniforms come in white, competition level uniforms also come in blue. Better quality judo uniforms shouldn't weigh down the consultant and prohibit their movement.
